I am glad all of you were willing to share your experiences. I met this woman, who I have chatted with almost daily for two weeks. I've also spoken with her several times. Our first phone conversation seemed sincere. She said and typed everything I wanted to hear and read. However, only once was she able to get to a webcam. Of course if she had a webcam I could see her everyday. So I sent her $60. The next day, she could not use the webcam because the USB cable on her computer at work was old and not working with the cam. I was pretty sure that webcams come with the USB cable attached or at least a new one. I gave her the benefit of the doubt; maybe she was just not explaining the issue well. She told me she was moving to another clinic for work (she's a nurse). The same day she tells me about her USB problems, she tells me that she needs help with moving $600 worth of help. Really!? I felt sad and upset. I lost money, a crap load of time and this girl I was falling for was obviously a figment of my imagination. I was thinking to say screw this site. I had been asked for money several times before and just blew off the previous scammers easily (wasted time the only loss). However, this girl got to me, at least she won't get to my $600.
Perhaps CB can implement an option in chat where the parties could choose to enter an exclusive chat mode where it would not be possible to have more than that chat client open. That way you know she can only chat with you. I am sure that would also reduce the profitability of the scammer business.

My fellow men on Cherry Blossoms I will say this to you and its the truth. Do not allow any lady to play this game with you. It goes like this; You are not good enough for me or something like that.
What it really is I am okay and you're not okay. Don't believe it.
Do not even consider any type of guilt trip from any lady you meet. Just delete her and move on.
If you are serious about finding a wife on CB then you must be willing to accept that you will encounter problematic females.
Women are emotional creatures and no matter what country she is from she will be that way.
I am personally not going to accept behaviors in a lady that I found unacceptable in the past; based on the fact that she is younger and more attractive.
Be honest and straight to the point and do not compromise because this could be the lady that you end up with as a wife and well I want to be as happy as possible.
I am taking my time and a few licks but the road to finding the right lady can me difficult but from the testimonials and from my friends experience with CB I am hanging in there. ( My friend has been married to his wife he met on CB for 23 years and I asked him when I visited him in the hospital when he was sick about her after she left the room of course; and he said he has never regretted a day of being with her.) WOW!! I want that.

I agree it's best not to send any money AT ALL over the internet. You can be a gentleman and pay MOST expenses once you meet.

I have read the comments about love. Oh and I do believe in Love with all my heart and soul. The facts are that it does not matter if a lady says I love you to me and if she is pretty and charming and says all the things that my heart wants so deeply to hear.
There has come a point in my search when I look past that and accept the situation for what it truly is an arrangement which is an agreement between to people to give and share certain things.
I ask specifically what she wants from her husband .I do not accept a general answer but push for details right down to sex.
I tell her what I want from her and its right down to the point of what I expect of her not only in bed but household and yes even getting a part time job.
There is no need to send any amount of money to any lady until you have met her in person and she has started the visa process.
If you want to test the true intentions of a lady then tell her no. This is a no with if you bring this up again we are over.
My experience is that she will try to make you fell guilty; don't. You do not owe her anything. She will try to say well I will find someone else and you are a bad person. Do not believe it you are okay and she is well not worth wasting your time.
Its time to man up fellows and with our concentrated efforts we can certainly reduce the amount of scamming on Cherry Blossoms.

I am a member of CB and I have been scammed 4 times . I dont blame Cherry Blossoms for it. I blame myself. I am a nice guy and I dont want to seem rude or be reported for being rude to a lady.
But what is rude? Is it rude to tell a lady NO? Is it rude to tell a lady that you are not interested in her? Is it rude to say to a lady that she is not your type? Is it rude to tell a lady that she is out of line with her comments?
I have been insulted several times on Cherry Blossoms by some of the so called beauties? Well I am not giving up.
I am not going to let a few stupid women stop me from finding my true love.
I am no longer going to worry about insulting a lady by asking the hard questions about lifestyle, sex and family and if she does not answer. I am going to move on.
Its like a bus you miss one another will come a long.

Greetings from France. This is a nice blog. I'm wondering if you have any advice about staying out of the friend zone with women? I'm really tired of girls telling me they just want to be friends. Maybe I'm being too nice?

hey adam g...thanks for being honest. i honestly think we have all been scammed in one form or another. it is just the pitfalls of online dating. i have been a victim also but not in the same manner or amount as you. i met someone online on cb and sent her a plane ticket to meet me in manila. this was my second trip there being my first was on the way to vietnam in the early 70's. no met me and i was a little lost and depressed. she couldn't get the refund for the plane ticket since i had purchased it with a credit card here in hawaii. i got my money back but was stuck in manila until my flight back. you know, i had a really good time in manila. met some really nice and friendly people and hung out in most of the girlie bars which was fun. i have more respect for the women in those bars than the scammers online. at least with the bargirls, you got what you paid for. i am a firm believer that if the girls online tell you they love you after a few chats, signals should go off. if she comes up with a sob story, regardless of the subject and she needs help for rent, utilities, she is hungry and no money for food, schooling for her or siblings, medical bills, funerals, her low wages, whatever, signals should go off. i personally watched a couple of girls in a internet cafe in a mall, work several men at the same time chatting on yahoo. just watch the yahoo chat screen on the bottom, it will always tell you if she is typing a message. if you don't receive this message or for the period of time she is typing and you get a three short words, signals should go off. or if you are on cam with her and she is typing away but you don't get the message, signals should go off. if she is hesitant about appearing on a cam or she tells you webcams are illegal in her town, signals should go off. if they know about western union money grams, signals should go off. the scammers will always work more than one guy at a time. be careful too of the cops in the phil. they are some of the most corrupt people around. i have alot of stories since i have been to the phil several times. mostly to surf at a place called cloud nine plus i am japanese/hawaiian mix so my asian looks does not attract attention like a caucasian man. so my best advice is be careful and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and never ever send money. the true scammer will not chat with you after you deny them this and a true filipina will never ever ask you for money. i still search for a woman but now i know all the tricks scammers use. my way of getting back at girls who ask for money is this, i say ok, tell them to wait a minute while i send them a western union money gram. then i give them a fake mtcn number and send them on there way....good luck guys and be careful.
